Eligibility:
- Age Limit: Max 28 years as on 5 December 2025. Age relaxation for reserved categories as per Government norms.
- Qualification: Full-time Degree in Engineering (relevant disciplines) with minimum 65% marks (all semesters average). SC/ST/PwBD/Departmental: 55% marks. For Computer discipline, MCA (3 years) is also eligible.
- Only regular courses from recognized universities and bodies (UGC/AICTE) are eligible.
- Medical Standards: Minimum standard for height, weight, and vision; relaxations for female and certain PwBD categories.
SAIL Management Trainee Technical Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
- Computer-Based Test (CBT) – 200 marks, split in two parts:
- Domain Knowledge Test (100 marks, 40 mins)
- Aptitude Test (Quantitative Aptitude, English, Reasoning, General Awareness – 100 marks, 80 mins)
- Minimum qualifying percentile: 50 for UR/EWS, 40 for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Interview (in 1:3 ratio) – Merit list prepared with weightage: CBT (75%), GD (10%), Interview (15%)
- Final selection is based on overall merit and medical fitness.

- CBT exam will be held in major cities across India.
- Domain Knowledge section (relevant to discipline): 40 minutes, 100 marks
- Aptitude section: Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, Reasoning, and General Awareness (25 marks each), 80 minutes total, 100 marks
