CSIR NCL Recruitment 2025 Notification Out for Technician and Technical Assistant Posts

CSIR NCL Recruitment 2025 : CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune has released the official recruitment notification for Technical Staff under Advertisement No. NCL/02-2025/Technical, dated 11 December 2025. This recruitment is conducted by CSIR, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Through this notification, CSIR-NCL invites online applications for Technician (1) and Technical Assistant posts. The online application process starts from 12 December 2025 and the last date to apply online is 12 January 2026. Candidates are clearly instructed that hard copy of application is not to be sent.

CSIR NCL Recruitment 2025 Vacancies, Eligibility, Qualification, Age Limit

Total Vacancies

  • Technician (1): 15 Posts
  • Technical Assistant: 19 Posts

Out of the total vacancies, posts are reserved for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen as mentioned in the notification.

Age Limit

  • Upper Age Limit: 28 Years
  • Age is calculated as on 12 January 2026
  • Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Widows/Divorced Women and departmental candidates as per Government of India and CSIR rules.

Educational Qualification (Summary)

Technician (1):

  • SSC/10th with Science subjects and minimum 55% marks
  • ITI / National or State Trade Certificate in relevant trade
  • OR prescribed apprenticeship / work experience as detailed in the notification
  • Trades include Computer Operator, Fitter, Plumber, Electrician, Mason, Draftsman (Civil), Refrigeration & AC, Instrumentation, Chemical Plant Attendant, Plastic Processing Operator and others.

Technical Assistant:

  • Diploma (Engineering/Technology) OR B.Sc. degree as per post code
  • Minimum 60% marks required
  • Relevant field experience / professional qualification as specified for each post
  • Disciplines include Computer/IT, Library Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Graphic Designing, Science Communication, Archive Management and related fields.

CSIR NCL Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in the following stages:

  1. Trade Test – Mandatory and qualifying in nature
  2. Written Examination
    • Paper-I
    • Paper-II
    • Paper-III
  3. Final Merit List will be prepared based on marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III only
  4. Document Verification before final appointment

  • Total Duration: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

Paper-I (1 Hour)

  • Mental Ability Test – 50 Questions
  • 2 Marks per question
  • No negative marking

Paper-II (30 Minutes)

  • General Awareness: 25 Questions
  • English Language: 25 Questions
  • 3 Marks per question
  • 1 Negative Mark for wrong answer

Paper-III (90 Minutes)

  • Concerned Trade Subject: 50 Questions
  • 3 Marks per question
  • 1 Negative Mark for wrong answer

Technical Assistant Exam Pattern

  • Total Questions: 200
  • Total Duration: 3 Hours

Paper-I (1 Hour)

  • Mental Ability Test – 50 Questions
